Prayer Requests!

I talked to Riny tonight and she informed me that the Indian government is making rounds to check orphanages. This is both wonderful and scary news. It is great that the government is taking initiative to ensure that orphanages and children's homes are running properly, and that the children are being taken care of well...but I cannot say that the government is corruption free. I have heard horror stories from Riny and Joseph of homes where children are being mistreated but because officials were bribed or organization leaders had governmental connections nothing was done to stop the mistreatment. We know that the kids are doing fantastic at Jubilee, but we fear that because we don't have much money or any governmental connections that it won't matter how the kids are. Riny and Joseph do an awesome job keeping our financial records and house in order, but anything involving the government can be scary.

Within the next couple of weeks officials will be inspecting homes in our district. We ask that you pray for a positive inspection. That honest officials will see how well the children are doing and what a blessing Jubilee has been to them and to Chungathara (our village). A bad inspection could close the doors of Jubilee.

Also, Riny and Joseph had been making some extra money for Jubilee by tutoring several children in English. This week the children moved and so we lost that extra income. This was sad news for us too. Every penny counts for Jubilee!

Please pray for Jubilee!

Love to you all.
